This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "53BP1 and USP28 mediate p53 activation and G1 arrest after centrosome loss or extended mitotic duration", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Rabbit monoclonal IgG

Company: abcam

Antibody: Usp28

Catalog number: ab126604

Summary: Rabbit monoclonal IgG against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human USP28. Reacts with human by western blot and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence. Unsuitable for immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry (paraffin) or flow cytometry.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

Control and Usp28-knockout RPE1 cell lines. Cells were lysed by sonication in RIPA buffer plus protease and phosphatase inhibitor cocktail (Thermo Fisher Scientific).

Blocking agent

TBS-T plus 5% nonfat dry milk or in TBS-T plus 5% BSA.

Primary incubation

1:1,000 dilution in blocking solution.

Secondary incubation

HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies (GE Healthcare).

Detection

WesternBright Sirius (Advansta) or SuperSignal West Femto (Thermo Fisher Scientific) substrates. Membranes were imaged on a ChemiDoc MP system (Bio-Rad

Laboratories).
