This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "CPEB3 Deficiency Elevates TRPV1 Expression in Dorsal Root Ganglia Neurons to Potentiate Thermosensation", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody: TRPV1
Catalog number: SC-12498
Summary: Goat polyclonal IgG against an epitope mapping near the N-terminus of VR1 of rat origin. Recommended for detection of VR1 of mouse, rat and human origin by western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence and ELISA.

Company: Santa Cruz Biotechnology
Western blot, and IHC. Western blot protocol is not available.
The following information is for immunohistochemical staining.
Immunoblots of dorsal root ganglia (DRG) lysates and immunostaining of DRG sections prepared from WT and TRPV1-KO mice. L5 DRG from WT or KO mice were immediately post-fixed in 4% formaldehyde for 60 min at 4 C, then transferred to 30% sucrose overnight at 4째C. DRG were embedded in Tissue-Tek OCT compound and sectioned at 10 um by use of a Leica cryostat. The slices were stored at -20 C and further fixed in 4% formaldehyde for 10 min right before immunostaining.
blocked for 2 h at room temperature in PBS containing 1% BSA, 5% horse serum and 0.3% Triton X-100
overnight at 4 C
AlexaFluor-conjugated secondary antibodies or DyLight 594-conjugated IB4 in PBS containing 0.1 mM CaCl2, MgCl2, and MnCl2 at room temperature for 30 min
Images were acquired and quantified under a LSM 700 confocal microscope with a 20X objective lens (Carl Zeiss)
