TREX-1 antibody | knockout validation | Santa Cruz sc-271870

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Acetylation Blocks cGAS Activity and Inhibits Self-DNA-Induced Autoimmunity", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Mouse monoclonal IgG2a (kappa light chain)

Company: Santa Cruz

Antibody: TREX-1

Catalog number: sc-271870

Summary: Mouse monoclonal IgG2a (kappa light chain) against amino acids 290-369 mapping at the C-terminus of human TREX-1. Recommended for detection of three prime repair exonuclease 1 of human origin by western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence and ELISA.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

Spleen of wild-type or Trex1−/− mice. Spleens of mice were homogenized with handheld homogenizer (PT 1200 E, Kinematica) and lysed in RIPA buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.5, 1% Nonidet P-40, 150 mM NaCl, 5 mM EDTA, 0.5% Deoxycholate Sodium) supplemented with complete protease inhibitor cocktail, 1 mM TSA and 10 mM NAM.

Detection

Enhanced chemiluminescence according to the manufacturer’s instructions (ThermoFisher Scientific).
