This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Deletion of Snai2 and Snai3 results in impaired physical development compounded by lymphocyte deficiency", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Figure 1. Immunoblot of Snai2 protein expression in the total testes from single WT and DKO (Snai2 and 3 KO) animals. β-actin serves as loading control. Dilution of antibodies used for the blots is noted. From [1].
Antibody information

Goat polyclonal

Company: Santa Cruz

Antibody: Snai2

Catalog number: sc-10436

Summary: Goat polyclonal against an epitope mapping within an internal region of SLUG of human origin. Recommended for detection of SLUG of mouse, rat and human origin by western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence and ELISA.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

Total whole cell lysates (WCL) from testes of Snai2 and 3 double knockout mice. Cells were lysed in RIPA buffer plus protease inhibitors (Roche, 04693132001).

Blocking agent

5% NFDM/TBS-T for 1 hour at room temperature

Primary incubation

1:100 dilution at 4° C overnight

Secondary incubation

peroxidase-conjugated bovine anti-goat (Jackson ImmunoResearch, 805-035-180, 1:10,000) for 2 hours at room temperature

Detection

standard ECL detection (Thermo Scientific, 34080) and exposure to X-ray film

Disclaimer

If the antibody described in this summary is a polyclonal antibody, since polyclonal antibodies are of limited quantity, please inquire the supplier whether any current polyclonal antibody with the same catalog number is exactly the same as the one described in this summary. Sometimes, different bleeds or different animals are used, usually with a different lot number. In such cases, the result in this summary may not apply to the new antibody with the same catalog number.
