SirT2 antibody | knockout validation | Cell Signaling 12650

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Crucial Roles for SIRT2 and AMPA Receptor Acetylation in Synaptic Plasticity and Memory", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Rabbit monoclonal IgG

Company: Cell Signaling

Antibody: SirT2

Catalog number: 12650

Summary: Rabbit monoclonal IgG against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro205 of human SirT2 protein. Reacts with human, mouse, rat, and monkey by western blot.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

Brain tissue from wild-type (WT) control and SIRT2 knock-out (Sirt2−/−) C57BL/6 mice. Tissues were lysed in 1X radioimmunoprecipitation assay (RIPA) buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4; 50 mM NaCl, 1% NP-40, 1% SDoC, 0.1-1% SDS) supplemented with protease inhibitor cocktail tablets (11697498001, Roche).
