This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Testosterone deficiency accompanied by testicular and epididymal abnormalities in TMF(-/-) mice", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Company

Sigma–Aldrich. This antibody is produced and also marketed by Atlas.

Antibody

polyclonal anti TMF

Clone: R02400

Catalogue No. HPA008729

Dilution :1:200

Summary

This antibody was validated in TMF knockout mice (TMF-/-) by immunostaining (PMID: 23000399). Testes sections from 20 week old wild type or TMF-/- mice were immunostained with antibody against TMF. The results confirmed the specificity of this antibody as TMF expression was not detected in knock out mice.

Experimental design

Technique: IHC

Sample: Testis section

Primary Antibody incubation: Sections from the paraffin-embedded tissues were subjected to immunohistochemical staining with anti- TMF/ARA160 at 1:200 dilution

Secondary Antibody incubation: anti-rabbit HRP conjugated antibody was used according to the ‘‘EXPOSE rabbit specific HRP/DAB detection IHC kit’’ manual (ab80437, Abcam, UK).

Detection System: Axioimagerz1 microscope was used to view stained sections.

Results

TMF expression was not detected in TMF knockout mice (TMF-/-) (see figure 1).
