This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Succination is Increased on Select Proteins in the Brainstem of the NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) Fe-S protein 4 (Ndufs4) Knockout Mouse, a Model of Leigh Syndrome", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Mouse monoclonal IgG1

Company: Abcam

Antibody: Ndufs4

Catalog number: ab87399

Summary: Mouse monoclonal IgG1 against recombinant full length human Ndufs4. Reacts with human, mouse, rat, and cow. Suitable for western blot and flow cytometry.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

Brainstem from wildtype and Ndufs4 KO mice. Radioimmunoprecipitation assay (RIPA) lysis buffer (50 mm Tris-HCl, 150 mm NaCl, 1 mm EDTA, 0.1% Triton X-100, 0.1% SDS, 0.5% sodium deoxycholate, pH 7.4), with the addition of 2 mm diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid and a protease inhibitor mixture (P8340, Sigma/Aldrich) was used.

Figure

Expression of Ndufs4 protein in the brainstem of early (3 weeks), middle (6 weeks) and late (9 weeks) disease stage from WT and Ndufs4 KO mice, confirming the absence of the protein in KO animals. Please see Figure S1B in the article [1].
