LATS2 antibody | knockout validation | Cell Signaling 5888

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "The Hippo kinase LATS2 impairs pancreatic β-cell survival in diabetes through the mTORC1-autophagy axis", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Rabbit monoclonal IgG

Company: Cell Signaling

Antibody: LATS2

Catalog number: 5888

Summary: Rabbit monoclonal antibody against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the amino terminus of human LATS2 protein. It is predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology with monkey. This product detects transfected levels of LATS2 protein. It will not detect endogenous levels of LATS2. Suitable for western blot.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

Control and β-LATS2-/- mouse pancreatic islets.

Blocking agent

2.5% non-fat dry milk for 1h at room temperature.

Primary incubation

1:1,000 dilution in Tris-buffered saline plus Tween-20 (TBS-T) containing 5% BSA overnight at 4°C.

Secondary incubation

1:3,000 dilution horseradish-peroxidase-linked anti-rabbit (Jackson, 111-035-003)

Detection

Chemiluminescence assay system (Pierce) and analyzed using DocITLS image acquisition 6.6a (UVP BioImaging Systems, Upland, CA, USA).
