IFNAR-1 antibody | knockout validation | BioLegend 127305

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Regional astrocyte IFN signaling restricts pathogenesis during neurotropic viral infection", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Mouse monoclonal IgG1, κ

Company: BioLegend

Antibody: IFNAR-1

Catalog number: 127305

Summary: Mouse monoclonal IgG1, κ against the extracellular domain of murine IFNAR1. Reacts with mouse western blot, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry and ELISA.

Validation Method

Immunohistochemistry

Sample

Cerebral cortex and cerebellum Ifnarfl/fl and Ifnarfl/fl Gfap-Cre+ mice. CNS tissue sections were obtained after cardiac perfusion with 4% paraformaldehyde in PBS.

Secondary incubation

Appropriate Alexa Fluor 555 antibodies (Life Technologies, Thermo Fisher Scientific).

Detection

Confocal microscopy (Carl Zeiss).

Figure

IHC detection of astrocyte marker ALDH1L1 (green) and IFNAR (red) in the cerebral cortex and cerebellum of uninfected Ifnarfl/fl and Ifnarfl/fl Gfap-Cre+ mice. Please see Figure S1a in the article [1].

Notes

The antibody is biotinylated to be used in FCM.
