GSK-3α antibody | knockout validation | Cell Signaling 4337

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "A Chemical-Genetic Approach Reveals the Distinct Roles of GSK3α and GSK3β in Regulating Embryonic Stem Cell Fate", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Rabbit monoclonal IgG

Company: Cell Signaling

Antibody: GSK-3α

Catalog number: 4337

Summary: Rabbit monoclonal IgG against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the sequence of human GSK-3α protein. Reacts with human, mouse, rat, hamster, and monkey. It is predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology with pig. Suitable for western blot and immunoprecipitation.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

WT, Gsk3α−/−, Gsk3β−/−, and Gsk3α/β DKO ESCs. Cells were lysed in ice-cold RIPA cell buffer (TEKNOVA) supplemented with protease inhibitors (Thermo Scientific) and phosphatase inhibitors (Roche).

Primary incubation

1:1,000 dilution.

Secondary incubation

HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies.
