GODZ antibody | knockout validation | Santa Cruz sc-377378

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "DHHC7 Palmitoylates Glucose Transporter 4 (Glut4) and Regulates Glut4 Membrane Translocation", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Mouse monoclonal IgM (kappa light chain)

Company: Santa Cruz

Antibody: GODZ

Catalog number: sc-377378

Summary: Mouse monoclonal IgM (kappa light chain) specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 297-327 within a C-terminal cytoplasmic domain of human GODZ (ZDHHC3 ). Recommended for detection of GODZ of mouse, rat and human origin by western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and ELISA. Also reactive with additional species, including and equine, canine, bovine and porcine.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

Primary adipocytes from epididymal tissue of wildtype and DHHC3 KO mice. Cells were washed twice with PBS and lysed with cell lysis buffer (20 mM Tris pH 7.6, 150 mM NaCl, 0.5 mM EDTA, 0.5 mM DTT, 10 mM, 1% Triton X-100 or 1% NP-40, 10% glycerol, protease and phosphatase inhibitors).

Primary incubation

1:1,000 dilution.

Secondary incubation

Horseradish peroxidase-conjugated secondary antibody (Bio-Rad).

Detection

ECL detection system (Life Technology).
