Fragile X Mental Retardation Protein antibody | knockout validation | Millipore MAB2160

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Reduced mitochondrial fusion and Huntingtin levels contribute to impaired dendritic maturation and behavioral deficits in Fmr1-mutant mice", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Mouse monoclonal IgG1k

Company: Millipore

Antibody: Fragile X Mental Retardation Protein

Catalog number: MAB2160

Summary: Mouse monoclonal IgG1k against a fusion protein with a full length human FMRP. Reacts with human, mouse and rat. Suitable for western blot, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Not recommended for flow cytometry or immunoprecipitation.

Validation Method

Immunohistochemistry

Sample

Brain sections from control and conditional FMRP knockout mice. Brains were dissected out, post-fixed overnight in 4% PFA and frozen sections were processed.

Blocking agent

TBS++ (TBS containing 3% goat or donkey serum and 0.2% Triton X-100) for 1 h at room temperature.

Primary incubation

1:500 dilution in TBS++ overnight in 4 ℃.

Secondary incubation

1:500 dilution anti-mouse 647 (Invitrogen) for 1 h at room temperature.

Detection

Nikon A1 confocal microscope.
