Flotillin-1 antibody | knockout validation | Cell Signaling 18634

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "The Gb3-enriched CD59/flotillin plasma membrane domain regulates host cell invasion by Pseudomonas aeruginosa", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Rabbit monoclonal IgG

Company: Cell Signaling

Antibody: Flotillin-1

Catalog number: 18634

Summary: Rabbit monoclonal antibody against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ile368 of human flotillin-1 protein. Reacts with human, mouse and rat. Suitable for western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and immunofluorescence (immunocytochemistry).

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

Control and FLOT1 KO H1299 cells.

Blocking agent

3% BSA in TBS-T [50 mM Tris (pH 7.6), 154 mM NaCl, 0.5% (vol/vol) Tween 20).

Primary incubation

1:1,000 dilution at 4 °C overnight.

Secondary incubation

1:2,000 dilution horseradish peroxidase-conjugated secondary antibody for 1 hour at room temperature.

Detection

Clarity Western ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate (Bio-Rad) was used to detect the luminescence signal by a Vilber Lourmat Fusion FX chemiluminescence imager.
