EGR1 antibody | knockout validation | Cell Signaling 4154

This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis Virus Induces Apoptosis through the Unfolded Protein Response Activation of EGR1", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Rabbit monoclonal IgG

Company: Cell Signaling

Antibody: EGR1

Catalog number: 4154

Summary: Rabbit monoclonal IgG against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the amino terminus of the sequence of human EGR1. Reacts with human, mouse, and rat. Suitable for western blot, immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, Chromatin IP and Chromatin IP-seq. It is predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology with bovine.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

EGR1‒/‒ and WT MEFs.

Blocking agent

Boiled 3% dry milk solution in PBS-Tween 20 for an hour at room temperature.

Primary incubation

Diluted in 3% milk solution overnight at 4 °C.

Secondary incubation

1:10,000 dilution HRP-coupled goat anti-rabbit in 3% milk.

Detection

Chemiluminescence was measured using a SuperSignal West Femto Maximum Sensitivity Substrate kit (ThermoScientific) and the Molecular Imager ChemiDoc XRS system (Bio-Rad).
