Immunofluorescent labeling for DSCAM in vertically sectioned retinas from 3-week old mice demonstrated that the protein is found in a normal, punctate localization in the synaptic plexiform layers in Dscam+/+ (D) and Dscam∆C/∆C (E) mice. Immunohistochemistry

Retinas from Dscam+/+, Dscam∆C/∆C and Dscam-/- mice. Eyecups were fixed, cryopreserved in 30% sucrose and frozen in Tissue-Tek OCT (Sakura, Torrance, CA) for sectioning.

2.5% BSA with 0.5% Triton-x-100.

1:50 dilution in blocking solution at 4°C overnight.

1:500 dilution Alexa-Fluor conjugated secondary antibodies (Thermo Fisher) for 1 hour at room temperature.
