Whole heart proteins were extracted from flash frozen hearts using 10–20 mg of wet weight tissue using RIPA buffer containing 150 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 1% Triton X-100, 0.1% SDS, 0.1% sodium deoxycholate and 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.4.

Overnight at 4 °C.

Anti-mouse HRP-conjugated secondary antibody (R&D Systems).
