This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Co-recruitment analysis of the CBL and CBLB signalosomes in primary T cells identifies CD5 as a key regulator of TCR-induced ubiquitylation", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Figure 1. Immunoblot analysis of CBL in whole‐cell lysates (WCLs) of CD4+ T cells isolated from WT or CBL‐deficient mouse (Cbl −/−) and kept unstimulated (−) or stimulated for 1 min with anti‐CD3 and anti‐CD4 antibodies (+). CD5 served as loading control. Molecular masses are shown (kDa). From [1].
Antibody information

Rabbit polyclonal

Company: Cell Signaling

Antibody: CBL

Catalog number: 2747

Summary: Rabbit polyclonal against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the carboxy terminus of human c-Cbl. Reacts with human, mouse, rat, and monkey. Suitable for western blot, immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry. It is predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology with bovine.

Validation Method

Western blot

Sample

CD4+ T cells isolated from WT or CBL‐deficient mouse. Cells were lysed in buffer (100 mM Tris, pH 7.5, 270 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA, 20% glycerol, 0.2% n-dodecyl-b-maltoside) supplemented with protease and phosphatase inhibitors.

Disclaimer

If the antibody described in this summary is a polyclonal antibody, since polyclonal antibodies are of limited quantity, please inquire the supplier whether any current polyclonal antibody with the same catalog number is exactly the same as the one described in this summary. Sometimes, different bleeds or different animals are used, usually with a different lot number. In such cases, the result in this summary may not apply to the new antibody with the same catalog number.
