This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "Metabolic consequences of NDUFS4 gene deletion in immortalized mouse embryonic fibroblasts", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Company: Mitosciences, now part of Abcam.

Antibody: NDUFS4

Catalog number: MS104, currently the catalog number is ab87399.

Summary: Mouse IgG1,k raised against full-length recombinant human NDUFS4. It detects human, bovine, mouse, and rat proteins in western blotting.

Abcam mouse monoclonal NDUFS4 antibody ab87399 was validated in knockout mice figure 1
Figure 1. Left panel: Western blot of NDUFS4 protein expression in mitochondrial fractions from wt (wt1), NDUFS4-KO (KO1, KO2) and complemented KO MEFs (KO1+S4). Right panel: a similar analysis in wt and NDUFS4-KO mouse muscle cells. From figure 1 [1].
Validation Method

Western blot, WB.

Sample

Mitochondria-enriched fractions from wt (wt1), KOs (KO1, KO2) and complemented KO MEFs (KO1+ S4) and similar analysis in mouse muscle cells.

Blocking agent

membranes were blocked for 1 h in Odyssey blocking buffer (Li-Cor) and PBS (ratio 1:1).

Primary incubation

incubated with an anti-NDUFS4 monoclonal antibody (MS104, Mitosciences) for 4 h.

Secondary incubation

incubation with the secondary antibody (IRDye 800CW Conjugated Goat Anti-mouse IgG (H + L), Highly Cross Adsorbed; diluted 1:10,000; Li-Cor).

Detection

Fluorescence scanning was performed using an Odyssey Imaging system (Li-Cor).
