This is a knockout-validated antibody summary, based on the publication "AIM2 inflammasome mediates Arsenic-induced secretion of IL-1 β and IL-18", as cited below [1]. Labome curates formal publications to compile a list of antibodies with unambiguous specificity within Validated Antibody Database (VAD).

Antibody information

Company: Santa Cruz

Antibody: AIM2 (absent in melanoma 2)

Catalog number: sc-137967

Summary: AIM2 Antibody (D-14) is a rabbit polyclonal IgG raised against epitope mapping near the N-terminus of AIM2 of mouse origin. It is recommended for detection of AIM2 of mouse and rat origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; non cross-reactive with AIM1 or AIM1L

Validation Method

Western Blot

Sample

skin tissues were homogenized by Kinematica Polytron 1300 D machine.

40 ug/lane protein samples were loaded.

Blocking agent

either 5% BSA or 5% nonfat milk in 0.01 M PBS (pH 7.4) and 0.05% Tween-20 (TPBS) at room temperature for 1 h.

Primary incubation

2 h at room temperature or overnight at 4°C.

Secondary incubation

three quick washes in TPBS, incubated with a secondary antibody conjugated to horseradish peroxidase diluted in TPBS for 1 h.

Detection

enhanced chemiluminescence method (Perkin Elmer, NEL105001EA).
