Validated Antibody Database (VAD)
What Do We Have?
Our reagent provider partners provide us with information for over 2 million products. Labome organizes the data according to gene, species, reagent type (antibody, protein/peptide, ELISA, siRNA/shRNA, cDNA clone, biochemical, and others).
Manual Curation
We manually curate antibody applications from selected formal publications to develop Validated Antibody Database (VAD).
How Do We Search?
Labome proprietary algorithm maps your input to a gene or a species. A subsequent dedicated gene or species web page presents reagent information.
If your query is not about a gene or species, Labome searches all products against the input. Such a search is useful for catalog number, clone number, company name, or other oddities.

Antibody Reviews Are Freely Available
Review articles for antibodies, based on VAD, and for commonly used reagents are freely available. Search in the above box.
Examples: beta-actin antibody (western blot loading control), Myc antibody (Myc-tagged protein detection), integrin antibody, vimentin antibody, tubulin antibody, APP antibody, catenin antibody, phosphotyrosine antibody, and hemagglutinin antibody.

Search Tips
To search for a gene, type in a gene name, symbol, or another identifier like an accession number. Do not include reagent type, or species name, or phosphorylated status. To search for a species, type in its common or scientific name or another identifier. Use alternative search choices presented with the search result to look for GI number, catalog number, clone name, chemical or misspelled gene symbol; Click 'more from same supplier' to see more matched web pages from the same supplier. See how to find an antibody for detail.
How Do We Select the Articles?
Please see our article on this topic. The article lists the updated number of publications in the current version of VAD and other stats.
