IKK 16 is a selective inhibitor of I B kinase (IKK) (IC50 values are 40, 70 and 200 nM for IKK , IKK complex and IKK respectively). Inhibits TNF- -stimulated I B degradation and expression of adhesion molecules E-selectin, ICAM and VCAM (IC50 values are 1.0, 0.5, 0.3 and 0.3 u M respectively). Inhibits LPS-induced TNF- release in vivo and neutrophil extravasion in thioglycollate-induced peritonitis.
