Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Western Blot Analysis: A 1:500-1:1000 dilution of this lot detected HDAC2 from 20 ug mouse ES cell extracts, but not from mouse spleen lysates. A 1:500-1:1000 dilution of a previous lot detected HDAC2 from 90 ug of HeLa whole cell lysate and 70 ug of U20S whole cell lysate. Extra-sensitive ECL detection reagents may be required with some cell systems. Immunoprecipitation: Reported by an independent laboratory to immunoprecipitate enzymatically active HDAC2. Immunocytochemistry: Reported by an independent laboratory to detect HDAC2 in mouse ES cells lacking HDAC1.
