Relevance :

Histone H3 is one of the five main histone proteins involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. Anti-Histone H3 Dimethyl(K)-Phospho(S) targets histone H3 tails that were shown to be dimethylated on lysine and phosphorylated on serine residues (H3Kme2Sp tail) during mitosis and meiosis. These modifications are involved in the acquisition of a specific chromatin conformation induced exclusively between early prophase and early anaphase of the mitosis, when chromatin condensation is highest.

Ovalbumin conjugated synthetic peptide ASGSSRSKS[dimethyl K]DRKYTL(C) corresponding to aa 180-195 of human TAF10. The generated 51TA2H12 clone recognizes S10- or S28-phosphorylated histone H3, but only when doubly modified with H3K9me2 or H3K27me2 (see reference).
