Trypsin 2 is a serine protease secreted by the pancreas and cleaved to its active form in the small intestine. Trypsin 2 consists of a signal peptide (residues 1-15), a pro region (residues 16-23), and a proteolytically active mature chain (residues 24-247). The amino acid sequence of human trypsin 2 is 78% identical to that of mouse and rat. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. The detection limit is ~10ng/well under non-reducing conditions. Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. The detection limit is ~2ng/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute by adding sterile PBS. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
