Desc1 :

The Thomsen-Fridenreich antigen acts as an oncofetal antigen, with low expression in normal adult tissues but increasing to fetal levels of expression in hyperplasia or malignancy.2-4 It is considered as a pan-carcinoma marker. Can be applied for the detection of cells with TF-antigen and is especially applicable for sensitive determination of neuraminidases. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1-2ug/ml for 30 min at RT. Staining formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: KG1 cells and human colorectal carcinoma tissues. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
