Desc1 :

Protein G is a small globular cell surface protein produced by Streptococcus sp. It is composed of two or three nearly identical domains of 55 amino acids each. It binds to Fc fragment (constant region) of Immunoglobulin G with high affinity. Protein G can be used to detect, quantify and purify IgG antibodies and antibody/antigen complexes. Protein G binds to all IgG subclasses from human, mouse and rat species. It also binds to total IgG from guinea pig, rabbit, goat, cow, sheep and horse. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-1:500 Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1906 IgY, Chicken Pab Rb x Ch I1906-10 IgY, Chicken (HRP) Rb x Ch I1906-12 IgY, Chicken (FITC) Rb x Ch I1906-14 IgY, Chicken (AP) Rb x Ch Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
