Desc1 :

Proprotein Convertase 9 encoded by the PCSK9 gene, (PC9 or NARC1 for neural apoptosis-regulated convertase-1), regulates cholesterol trafficking by controlling the plasma levels of LDL receptors. Different mutations in PCSK9 are associated with either elevated or reduced plasma levels of LDL-cholesterol. Human PCSK9 consists of a pro domain (aa29-152) and a mature chain (aa153-692). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml. Using recombinant human proprotein convertase 9 under non-reducing conditions. Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml immunoprecipitates recombinant human and mouse PC9 from conditioned cell medium. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
