Phosphorylated threonine (phosphothreonine) is an alpha amino acid that together with phosphoserine is one of the most ubiquitously modified amino acids in proteins. Many hormones, such as adrenaline (epinephrine), alter the activities of enzymes by stimulating the phosphorylation of serine and threonine, and these can have profound effects on cellular signal transduction, apoptosis and carcinogenesis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 10ug/mg Western Blot: 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
