Desc1 :
Phosphorylation of tyrosine residues is associated with many growth factor receptors and oncogene protein kinases, and is an important signal for cellular activation, proliferation, and differentiation(1, 2). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive controls: Mouse brain, NIH 3T3 cells (+/-TPA), K562 cells, EGF-stimulated A431 cells and MCF-7 cell lysates. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen :
Phosphotyrosine coupled to KLH.
Specificity :
Reacts specifically with tyrosine phosphorylated proteins in both the native and denatured states. Binding is inhibited by phosphotyrosine. This antibody does not recognize phosphoserine or phosphothreonine. Species Crossreactivity: (with phosphorylated proteins) Independent of the protein’s species of orgin.
Purity :
Purified from mouse ascites
Form :
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 1% BSA and 0.1% proclin, 50% glycerol. Labeled with HRP.
