Exhibits PLA1/2 activity, catalyzing the calcium-independent hydrolysis of acyl groups in various phosphotidylcholines (PC) and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE). For most substrates, PLA1 activity is much higher than PLA2 activity. Specifically catalyzes the release of fatty acids from phospholipids in adipose tissue By similarity. N- and O-acylation activity is hardly detectable. Might decrease protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) activity. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:128,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
