PAR6 is a cell membrane protein involved in cell polarization and asymmetrical cell division processes as part of a multi protein complex. It is thought to be involved in the invasive phenotype that is associated with metastatic carcinomas, playing a role in the epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT). PAR6 is also thought to be involved in the formation of epithelial tight junctions. PAR6 contains a semi Cdc42/Rac interactive binding (CRIB) domain and a PDZ (PSD95/Discs-large/ZO1) domain, and several different PAR6 isoforms have been identified. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:8000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 5-10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
