Desc1 :
Ovalbumin is the main protein found in egg white, making up 60-65% of the total protein. Native chicken ovalbumin is a globular monomer with a molecular mass of 45kD. It is structurally related to both serpins and lipocalins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Not suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse Sp2/O-Ag14 myeloma cell line. Culture Medium: RPMI 1640 with 10% fetal calf serum Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Calc Crossreactivity :
Ch
Immunogen :
Purified chicken ovalbumin adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide gel.
Specificity :
Recognizes native chicken ovalbumin. Does not recognize denatured ovalbumin. Epitope recognition differs from that of O8075-30 and O8075-31 evidenced by lack of mutual inhibition of antigen binding.
Purity :
Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
Form :
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 15mM sodium azide.

Product Type: Mab Isotype: IgG1,k Clone No: 8C6 Host: mouse Source: chicken Concentration: ~1mg/ml Form: Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 15mM sodium azide. Purity: Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography from culture supernatant. Immunogen: Ovalbumin isolated from chicken egg white, untreated. Specificity: Specific for native chicken ovalbumin (2). Cross-reactivity with egg albumin from other species has not been tested. Epitope specificity differs from those of clones 6F157 and 6F158 as determined by inhibition ELISA. Shows high affinity for OA in its native form. It does not recognize denatured OA. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.
