Orphan receptor. Binds preferentially to double-stranded oligonucleotide direct repeats having the consensus half-site sequence 5'-AGGTCA-3' and 4-nt spacing (DR-4). Regulates cholesterol uptake through MYLIP-dependent ubiquitination of LDLR, VLDLR and LRP8. Applications: Suitable for use in Peptide ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA: 1:64,000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1-2ug/ml using human spleen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
