Desc1 :

The Janus family of tyrosine kinases, consisting of Jak1, Jak2, Jak3 and Tyk2, associates with a variety of cytokine receptors and are activated by ligand binding to these receptors (1). Upon ligand binding to cytokine receptors, Jaks autophosphorylate and phosphorylate their associated receptors, providing multiple binding sites for signaling proteins containing SH2 or other phosphotyrosine- binding domains, including Stats (2), Shc (3), insulin receptor substrates (4) and focal adhesion kinase (FAK) (5) Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100 Requires HIER using sodium citrate buffer pH6.0 prior to staining. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
