Desc1 :

IL-2 is a cytokine that stimulates the growth and differentiation of B cells, T cells, NK cells, and monocyte/macrophages. It functions through the heterotrimeric IL-2 receptor comprising alpha, beta and gamma chains. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. The detection limit is ~5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Chemiluminescent detection will increase sensitivity by 5 to 50 fold. Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml. 10ul labels 1-5x10e5 cells in a total reaction volume not exceeding 200ul. Validated using LPS-treated PBMCs. For intracellular staining, cells must first be fixed and permeabilized with 4% paraformaldehyde and 0.1% saponin in PBS. Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. The detection limit for is ~2ng/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
