Integrin, β 4 (ITGB4) also known as CD104 (Cluster of Differentiation 104), is a gene in humans. The downregulation of ITGB4 expression in airway epithelial cells could impair the antigen presentation ability of epithelial cells. It may help in regulating airway inflammation reaction in allergic asthma. ITGB4 expressions are positively correlated in gastric cancer cell lines and tissues and is associated with poor outcomes in gastric cancer patients. It may serve as a therapeutic target in the treatment of gastric cancer. Mutations in ITGB4 cause an autosomal recessive disorder, genodermatosisepidermolysis bullosa with pyloric atresia (EB-PA). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
