Influenza viruses are common and widely spread infectious agents. Like many other viruses, influenza virus are constantly undergoing mutations and thereby avoiding the immune system. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:40 Immunofluorescence (IC): acetone-fixed, influenza B-infected VERO cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Matched Pair: Capture: I7651-20 or I7651-19 Detection: I7651-21B Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen :

Unpurified influenza B virus (B/Lee/40) for primary intranasal immunization, boosted intravenously with purified influenza B virus disrupted with Triton X-100 for 40 min at 37°C (2).

Specificity :

Recognizes Influenza B virus nucleoprotein. Does not crossreact with influenza A.

Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
