Granzyme A, also known as CTLA-3, is the most abundant serine protease found specifically in the cytotoxic granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and NK cells. It is released during cellular activation and enters target cells through perforin channels. Granzyme A mediates target cell killing by inducing caspase-independent cell death. Human granzyme A is synthesized as a precursor with a signal peptide, a two amino acid propeptide, and a mature chain. Mature human granzyme A shares 71% amino acid sequence identity with mouse granzyme A. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml ELISA: Direct Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
