Galectin-9 is an eosinophile chemoattractant produced by activated T lymphocytes. It is an integral membrane protein that plays a role in immuno/inflammation processes that causes inflammatory reactions in the central nervous system (CNS). Galectin-9 exists as two isoforms, a long form and a short form, which differ by an internal stretch of 32aa. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
