Desc1 :
Etk, also known as BMX, is a member of the Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (Btk) family of tyrosine kinases (1). It is expressed in a variety of hematopoietic, epithelial and endothelial cells. Etk, like other Btk family members, contains a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, and Src homology SH3 and SH2 domains. It participates in multiple signal transduction pathways (2). Phosphorylation of tyrosine 566 by Src kinase is required for activation of Etk in vivo (3). In endothelial and epithelial cells, Etk is regulated by FAK through phosphorylation at tyrosine 40 (4).
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunoprecipitation: 1:100
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
