Desc1 :

CRY1 is a critical component of the circadian oscillator that represses CLOCK:BMAL1 mediated transcription when translocated into the nucleus. It is a member of the DNA photolyase family but has no photolyase activity. Over the region used as immunogen, human and mouse CRY1 share 94% amino acid sequence homology. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Direct ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml. The detection limit is ~2ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Shows ~10% crossreactivity with recombinant human CRY2. (Has not been optimized for use in Western Blot with cell lysates.) Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 5-15ug/mL in Perfusion fixed frozen sections of mouse testis Immunocytochemistry: 5-15ug/mL Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C after receipt. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
