Desc1 :

Apoptosis induced by CD95 (Fas/APO-1) and tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1) activates caspase-8 (MACH/FLICE/Mch5), leading to the release of the active subunits p18 and p10 of caspase-8. Activated caspase-8 is able to cleave and activate downstream caspases such as caspase-1, caspase-3, caspase- 6 and caspase-7. Caspase-3 ultimately elicits the morphological hallmarks of apoptosis, including DNA fragmentation and cell shrinkage. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in TBS, 5% BSA, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunoprecipitation: 1:100. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
