Calcitonin receptor is a membrane protein with seven transmembrane domains that is coupled to G protein messenger systems. Calcitonin receptor is expressed in kidney, central and peripheral nervous systems and on osteoclasts. It is also expressed in a number of tissues during the development of the embryo and may be important in fetal morphogenesis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000-1:5,000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50-1:500, fixation with 4% paraformaldehyde is recommended Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. IHC Positive Control Tissue: Kidney Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
