This monoclonal antibody is specific to progesterone receptor and shows m inimal cross-reaction with other members of the family. Progesterone receptor is expressed as two major isoforms, PR-A (81kD) and PR-B (116kD). Expression of PgR has been suggested t o reflect a intact estrogen regulatory machinery and therefore, predict b etter clinical response to endocrine therapy than ER alone. It is excellent for immunohistochemical staining of formalin/paraffin tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Frozen & Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 0.5-1ug/ml/30min @ RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: T47-D Cells or Breast Cancers. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
