VTN is a member of the pexin family. This protein is found in serum and tissues and promotes cell adhesion and spreading, inhibits the membrane-damaging effect of the terminal cytolytic complement pathway, and binds to several serpin serine protease inhibitors. The protein is a secreted protein and exists in either a single chain form or a clipped, two chain form held together by a disulfide bond. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:8000-1:32,000 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:10-1:50 Flow Cytometry: 1:25 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Overlay histogram showing MCF-7 cells stained with 043795 (green line). The cells were fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde (10mins) and then permeabilized with 90% methanol for 10mins. The cells were then incubated in 2% BSA to block non-specific protein-protein interactions followed by 043795 (1:25) for 60mins at 37ºC. The secondary antibody used was Goat-Anti-Rabbit IgG, DyLight® 488 Conjugated Highly Cross-Adsorbed at 1:200 for 40mins at 37ºC. Isotype control antibody (blue line) was rabbit IgG (1ug/1x10e6 cells) used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >10,000 events was performed.
