Desc1 :
The low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) gene family consists of cell surface proteins involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis of specific ligands. This gene encodes a lipoprotein receptor that is a member of the LDLR family and plays important roles in VLDL-triglyceride metabolism and the reelin signaling pathway. Mutations in this gene cause VLDLR-associated cerebellar hypoplasia. Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms for this gene. [provided by RefSeq].
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded. Requires HIER using sodium citrate buffer pH6.0 prior to staining.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed paraffin embedded human heart tissue sections using 043763. Tissue was fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 3% BSA for 0.5hrs at RT; antigen retrieval was by heat mediation with a citrate buffer (pH 6). Samples were incubated with 043763 (1:25) for 1 hour at 37°C. A undiluted biotinylated goat polyvalent antibody was used as the secondary antibody.
