Platelet-derived growth factor C (PDGFC) is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. The four members of this family are mitogenic factors for cells of mesenchymal origin and are characterized by a motif of eight cysteines. PDGFC seems to form only homodimers, where the dimers are connected by disulfide bonds. It differs from the platelet-derived growth factor alpha (PDGFA) and beta (PDGFB) in having an unusual N-terminal domain, the CUB domain. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
