IDUA encodes an enzyme that hydrolyzes the terminal alpha-L-iduronic acid residues of two glycosaminoglycans, dermatan sulfate and heparan sulfate. This hydrolysis is required for the lysosomal degradation of these glycosaminoglycans. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry and FLISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Overlay histogram showing Hela cells stained with 036871 (green line). The cells were fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde (10mins) and then permeabilized with 90% methanol for 10mins. The cells were then incubated in 2% BSA to block non-specific protein-protein interactions followed by 036871 (1:25) for 60mins at 37ºC. The secondary antibody used was Goat-Anti-Rabbit IgG, DyLight® 488 Conjugated Highly Cross-Adsorbed (1:400) for 40mins at 37ºC. Isotype control antibody (blue line) was Rabbit IgG (1ug/1x10e6 cells) used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >10,000 events was performed.
