The protein encoded by this gene is a secreted protein that is similar to the beta- and gamma-chains of fibrinogen. The carboxyl-terminus of the encoded protein consists of the fibrinogen-related domains (FRED). The encoded protein forms a tetrameric complex which is stabilized by interchain disulfide bonds. This protein may play a role in physiologic functions at mucosal sites. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot and Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Flow Cytometry analysis of U-2OS cells using 035646 (green line). The cells were fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde (10mins) and then permeabilized with 90% methanol for 10mins. The cells were then incubated in 2% BSA to block non-specific protein-protein interactions followed by 035646 (1:25) for 60mins at 37ºC. The secondary antibody used was goat anti-rabbit IgG, DyLight® 488 Conjugated Highly Cross-Adsorbed at 1:200 for 40mins at 37ºC. Isotype control antibody (blue line) was rabbit IgG (1ug/1x10e6 cells) used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >10,000 events was performed.
