ADCYAP1 is adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1. Mediated by adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1 receptors, this polypeptide stimulates adenylate cyclase and subsequently increases the cAMP level in target cells. Adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1 is not only a hypophysiotropic hormone, but also functions as a neurotransmitter and neuromodulator. In addition, it plays a role in paracrine and autocrine regulation of certain types of cells. This gene encodes three different mature peptides, including two isotypes, a shorter form and a longer form. Applications:. Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution:. Western Blot: 1:1000. Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50. Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50. Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability:. May be stored at 4 C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
